From The Bottom Of A Well

Summer moves along. A trip to Centuria to see the boys play softball, trip to Spooner to sweat at the cabin, and some general sweating around the house.

The hand is moving along, the wound is looking smaller. But now the concern is the scar tissue building up. I guess that is gonna need some work to allow normal movement across the knuckles.

I made enough progress to do some exercise playing guitar. It is nowhere near comfortable yet, and I can only get 2 fingers on the fretboard at a time, but it's an improvement.

I recorded a quick cover of an awesome Mike Doughty song tonite. It's called Unsingable Name. Featuring alot of 2 finger cheat chords.

I'm back from our dream vacation in the Dells.

The family had a blast, it was cool for me as well, even if I wasnt able to participate in waterpark or other typical amusement type stuff. I mainly sat by the pool, drank beer, and read Neal Stephenson's Cryptonomicon.

oh..and I didnt know why Heather thought taking my picture was so funny, until now when I see the sign behind me.

nice.

That's me and Bob Mould. Went to see him play at the Taste Of Minnesota, and got lucky enough to meet him.

Was a great show, he played a lot of his new stuff, plus some old Husker Du and Sugar. He is just an incredible singer/songwriter/guitarist.

And of course, notice me slyly hiding the bandaged hand behind Bob.

hardly getting over it

A lot of stiffness and soreness has set in during the healing process. I have a lot less motion and strength in my hand than I did a week ago, but I guess that's part of the deal.

I can't really play jack on the guitar right now, so I spent some time remixing Wild & Lethal (again).
